The China Electricity Council and Koelnmesse have established a formal cooperation to jointly own and organize Wind Power Asia (WPA). At the same time, the umbrella brand Clean Energy Expo China, launched in 2009 as a forum parallel to WPA, will be expanded further to establish China's ultimate meeting place for all renewable energy solutions .
CEC will bring top buyer groups to WPA, among them the 13 leading power groups, including State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, China Huaneng Group, China Datang Corporation, China Huadian Corporation, China Guodian Corporation, and China Power Investment Corporation. As a subordinate organization of the China State Electricity Regulatory Commission, CEC will also add political support to the show.
2010 also marks the continuation of endorsement from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), as well as WPA's first partnership with the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) and China's Energy Savings Cooperation Alliance (ESCA). All will further add to the events position as a onestop trading platform aimed at boosting development, communication and cooperation within the industry.
